Understanding how our spam-filter service works is easy. xlr8-Enterprise secure anti-spam firewall (known as the gateway) scans all incoming messages for your company to determine if they are legitimate emails or spam. Our advanced spam blocker prohibits anything except legitimate emails to pass thru the email spam filter. Once approved by our anti-spam firewall the message is sent directly to your company's email server or your ISP. SPAM messages are placed into your Spam-Viewer (held on our server) for you to review and retrieve at anytime. (7 day hold period)

We also become a backup solution for your domains email. If your server (or ISP's mail server) ever goes offline, we will keep retrying to deliver your messages for 7 days.

xlr8 Technologies, LLC spam filter process happens entirely behind the scenes. The spam blocker setup requires only one (MX record) configuration change to be made with your DNS (Domain Name Service) Provider. We supply you with the necessary information needed. You forward these instructions onto your DNS Provider before your anti-spam service will work. Unlike a Name-Server record change, an MX record change happens instantaneously. There is no delay using your email while the MX records are being changed.

Our Gateway is looking for email addresses, phrases, obfuscation techniques, links, IP sources and other patterns which have been identified through submission addresses and spam traps. Patterns may be found in headers, attachments, message bodies or even combined across these boundaries. Email is safe-guarded by three Network Data Centers strategically located in different regions across the United States.
